You may be eligible for an MVMA Student Veterinary Technologist Membership if you are currently enrolled in a CVMA or AVMA accredited program.
Student membership with the MVMA is optional; however, you are required to obtain membership if you are working, volunteering, or otherwise providing veterinary service through a PIPS Inspected Practice in Manitoba (this includes veterinary clinics, hospitals and ambulatory practices).

Once an application decision has been made, you will be notified via email.
Your Student Membership will expire one month after you graduate from your CVMA or AVMA accredited program.
Once you have obtained a Student Veterinary Technologist Membership, you must notify the MVMA of the following:
Student Practice Experience
Each time a Student Veterinary Technologist Member works, volunteers or otherwise provides veterinary service through a PIPS inspected Practice in Manitoba (this includes veterinary clinics, hospitals and ambulatory practices), the student must notify the MVMA.
Student Veterinary Technologist Member Practice in Manitoba
When practising veterinary medicine in Manitoba, each Student Veterinary Technologist Member must practice under the Direct Supervision of a Practicing Veterinarian or Practicing Veterinary Technologist (who is practising under the supervision of a Practicing Veterinarian).
